Timothy M. Prior to First Potomac, Mr. Zulick was Senior Vice President at Trammell Crow Company where, from 1998 to 2004, he concentrated on leasing, sales and development of office and industrial properties in the Baltimore-Washington corridor. Doug has worked in the fields of accounting, auditing, management consulting, and taxation/litigation support since 1978. He has worked with businesses, non-profit and governmental entities, and individuals. Through his work, Doug has gained extensive knowledge of real estate, professional service businesses, retail, high-tech industries, non-profit entities, political organizations, investment companies, and real estate management and development firms. Doug is a certified valuation analyst (CVA) and has completed business valuations on various business entities. He has been designated as an expert witness for domestic relations and civil cases in Montgomery County and Prince Georges County, Maryland, and in the District of Columbia. He is also a master analyst in financial forensics (MAFF) and is licensed as a life and health insurance agent. Doug is the global chairman of Integra International and a board member of Integra International’s AAA Division.

Doug previously served as the president of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic, Inc., and was the treasurer of the Rockville Chamber of Commerce. He is currently the treasurer of NAIOP Maryland/DC, a member of the workforce committee of the Greater Washington Board of Trade, and is also serving on the board of other local business and civic associations. Eric S. Kassoff is a shareholder of Wilkes Artis, Chartered, and chair of the Maryland department.  He specializes in real estate tax litigation, and has over 30 years of industry experience in all facets of commercial real estate. Since 1987, he has represented thousands of tax cases, navigating them through the complicated triennial appeal process resulting in the addition of billions of dollars in value to his clients’ real estate holdings. He earned his JD and undergrad from Boston University.  He is a member of the bar in DC, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.
Eric, a native Washingtonian, currently serves as Legal Counsel to the Suburban Maryland/DC Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (“NAIOP”) and is a founding member of the chapter. He is a past chairman of the State and Local Legislative Subcommittee for National NAIOP and has served on NAIOP’s National Board of Directors. Eric also currently serves on the Montgomery County Executive’s Office Market Working Group and has served as a member of the Montgomery County Office of Economic Development’s Subcommittee on Infrastructure Finance. He is an instructor in the Georgetown University Masters in Professional Studies Real Estate Program and a former Member of the Board of Directors for the Maryland-National Capital Building Industry Association. Tom joined Jackson-Shaw in 2005 to help establish the Maryland office of this national firm based in Dallas, TX. Primary development projects have included Beltway 50, The Brickyard and Andrews Federal Campus. Prior to joining Jackson-Shaw Tom was a partner at Stephens Aylward & Assoc., an architectural firm focused on commercial, industrial and institutional projects throughout the region since 1984. Sarah Knutson is the Chief Operating Officer for Akridge. She is responsible for the leadership and direction of internal company functions, as well as a member of the Akridge senior management team. Her responsibilities include overseeing daily operations and providing strategic oversight of property operations, marketing and communications, general counsel, information and technology, human resources, and office administration.

Since joining Akridge in 2005, Sarah has developed a comprehensive understanding of the company by dedicating herself to various concentrations within the organization. Mike Smith has recently joined the Montgomery County Executive’s office to serve as the County’s first Ombudsman to Property Owners and the Real Estate Development community. Previously Mike was a Senior Vice President with LCOR Inc. where he led significant real estate development projects in Montgomery County and elsewhere in the metropolitan Washington DC region. He also serves on the Board of the MD/DC Chapter of NAIOP. Mike has a Masters degree in Real Estate Development from MIT.
Mike will leverage his expertise to champion significant real estate investment projects and increase the transparency and responsiveness of the County’s project review and approval process. Mike will also provide an owner/investor/developer perspective on the effects of proposed zoning changes, new master plans and other County land use initiatives on the real estate investment decision-making process.
